A community project built to help fuel stations across Sri Lanka manage long queues during the fuel crisis. Stations can register for free, generate QR codes for vehicles, and streamline the entire queue process — reducing wait times and bringing order to chaos.
During Sri Lanka's fuel crisis, stations faced massive unmanaged queues causing hours of wait time, conflicts, and chaos. There was no affordable digital solution available for small fuel station operators.
We built and released FuelQ completely free for any fuel station to use. The system generates unique QR codes for each vehicle, allowing station operators to manage queues digitally. Drivers can check their position in the queue remotely, reducing physical crowding and wait times.
FuelQ was tested at a fuel station in Chavakachcheri, where a previous version of the system was used for a day to manage real crowd flow during the crisis. The test validated the concept — the queue management process worked in a live environment, bringing structure to an otherwise chaotic situation and proving that a simple digital tool could make a tangible difference at the ground level.

Let's discuss how we can build something great together.
